Description: CDIP-2, a chemokine derived peptide, corresponds to residues 19–37 of CCL13, reduced in vitro chemotaxis and decreased cellular infiltration in a murine model of allergic airway inflammation.CDIP-2 reduces chemotaxis towards CCL11 and CCL3 and calcium fluxes in bone marrow-derived murine eosinophils. Additionally, CDIP-2 induces the internalization of CCR1, CCR2 and CCR3 receptors, although it does not evoke G protein dissociation, chemotaxis orMAPK activation. Finally, in a severe murinemodel of allergic airway inflammation, CDIP-2 treatment decreased the expression of Th2 cytokines and chemokine receptors related to the inflammatory process.
